ヴァージョンが進むたびに使いにくく、おまけに痒いところに手の届きにくい仕様になって行っちゃったので、ポッドキャストの編集には頑なに「Ver.6.0.5」を使ってきましたが、さすがにいつまでも古い GarageBand を使っていると、いざ OS との反りが合わなくなった時、途端にお手上げになってしまうので、最新ヴァージョンにも慣れておかなければ‥‥と思い、半年ほど前から意識的に使うようにしています。
しかし、さすがにヴァージョンを４つもジャンプすると UI が結構変わっちゃってて「あのエフェクターはどこ行った？」「あの機能はどうやって呼び出せばいいんだ？」と、戸惑う事も多いんですが、今回も特定のトラックをフェードイン／フェードアウトしようとしただけで見事につまずきました。
古いヴァージョンには、左端のトラック名やパンポット等が並んでいる部分の下に、ボリュームのコントロールを呼び出すボタンがあったのに、最新ヴァージョンにはそれが見当たりません。アッチャコッチャを右クリックしてみたり、メニューバーを隈なく探してみましたが、それらしき項目は見つからず、結局 Google 先生のお世話になる羽目に。メニューバーの「ミックス」から「オートメーションを表示」を選択せよ‥‥って書いてあったけど‥‥オートメーションっていったい何？
ボリュームのコントロールって
隠しておかなきゃならないほどマニアックな操作なの？
ちょっと納得いきませんが
